EMM e.V. is
THE supraregional network of the Munich metropolitan region.
THE neutral, cross-institutional and cross-interest platform for cooperation of all kinds, particularly between the metropolis and the region—city and countryside.
THE identifier and multiplier of topics and trends that contribute to the positive development of the region.
THE institutional foundation and implementing organization to enable the supraregional and international recognition of the Munich Metropolitan Region as one of the most successful functional residential and economic areas in Europe.
To strengthen the region’s identity and recognition as the Munich Metropolitan Region, many counties and cities, as well as institutions from the business, academic, and social sectors, participate on a voluntary basis in the European Metropolitan Region Munich Association (EMM e.V.).
Note: Not all counties and cities within the geographical boundaries of the metropolitan region are members of the EMM e.V. association. Membership and participation are voluntary—therefore, there is a difference between the number of member counties and the total number of counties in the metropolitan region.
