Here you will find all the information about the structure of the EMM e.V. committees.

EMM e.V. Organization

EMM e.V. is organized through three elected bodies and with the support of an executive office. The association’s governing bodies consist of the Executive Board, the Steering Committee, and the General Assembly. The association’s professional work is carried out primarily through working groups, specialized groups, or project groups that address current issues of importance to the region.

The Board of Directors

  • consists of 11 representatives from local governments and 11 representatives from business and civil society,

  • manages the association in accordance with the bylaws and in line with the resolutions of the general meeting and the steering committee,

  • determines the strategic direction and further development of the association,

  • presents the annual financial statements, annual report, and budget,

  • decides on the admission and expulsion of members,

  • submits proposals regarding the amount of membership dues to the General Assembly.

  • 1st Deputy Chairman of the Board: Mayor Dieter Reiter, City of Munich

  • Second Deputy Chairman of the Board: Chief Executive Officer Dr. Marc Lucassen, Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Swabia

Board members of EMM e.V.

The Steering Committee

  • is limited to a maximum of 60 members,

  • elects the Executive Board and the auditors,

  • makes recommendations regarding the strategic direction and further development of the association,

  • adopts the rules of procedure,

  • proposes to the Executive Board the establishment of working groups and their sponsors, as well as projects.

  •  

  • 38 voting representatives from local governments, business, and civil society

  • 3 co-opted members from bodies of the Bavarian State Government, the Government of Upper Bavaria, and the planning associations

  • 4 representatives of the working groups

Steering Committee members of EMM e.V.

The General Meeting

  • elects the steering committee every four years,

  • discharges the Executive Board,

  • sets membership dues based on the Executive Board’s proposal,

  • approves the budget and resolutions regarding amendments to the bylaws

  • currently meets once a year

  • grants each of its regular members one vote

  • contributes to the financing of projects and staff paid for by the association through the annual dues of its members.
