IBA Metropolregion München GmbH was founded in November 2023. The company is primarily municipally owned. The IBA Unit of EMM e.V. represents the region’s diverse range of other stakeholders. Only those who become shareholders in IBA GmbH can ultimately submit project ideas to the IBA and benefit from the services provided by IBA GmbH.
There are two ways to participate in IBA GmbH:

1. as a direct shareholder (exclusively for counties and independent cities)

2. as an indirect shareholder via the IBA Unit of EMM e.V.; here, municipalities, the business sector, academia, chambers of commerce, and other institutions can become part of IBA GmbH.
