EMM e.V. Working Groups

At the heart of EMM e.V. is the work on specific projects carried out by five working groups (WGs) focusing on mobility, the economy, knowledge, the environment, and the IBA (International Building Exhibition). Here, the association’s members get involved and develop specific projects, which are then implemented by specialized working groups or project teams.

In terms of organization and content, the five working groups and their respective specialized subgroups are coordinated by one or two institutions acting as sponsors.

Those interested in participating in a project can contact the sponsoring organizations to learn about opportunities for involvement.

Mobility is not an end in itself, but must serve the needs of the population and the economy of the Munich Metropolitan Region. In light of increasing commuting distances and major challenges in the areas of climate change, resource consumption, and demographics, mobility has become a critical factor. Effective and sustainable transportation development is essential for maintaining the region’s appeal, economic strength, and quality of life.

The Mobility Working Group has set itself the goal of strengthening this factor, as well as accessibility within the Munich metropolitan region, through dialogue and across institutional boundaries.
