Metropolitan Conference “Zug’spitzt—We Need More Action!”
“You need us, and we need you”—that was just one of the valuable insights from this year’s Metropol Conference. Under the motto “Zug’spitzt—we need more action!”, EMM e.V., together with Zugspitz Region GmbH, hosted the 2025 Metropolitan Conference on July 30, 2025, at Panorama 2962 on the Zugspitze to spark a thought-provoking debate for the region.
Following opening remarks by Christoph Göbel, District Administrator of the Munich District and Chairman of the Board of EMM e.V.; Anton Speer, District Administrator of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen District, and Claudia Zolk, Second Mayor of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, as well as expert input from the Munich and Upper Bavaria Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK), the event moved directly to the panel discussion titled “Things Get Uncomfortable When Everyone Sits Back” on the implementation gaps in the Munich Metropolitan Region, their causes, and how we can work together to find effective solutions. We thank all participants for the lively debate and fruitful discussions.
