“Region of Innovation” Roadshow Visits Kaufbeuren and the Ostallgäu District
The Munich Metropolitan Region is one of the most innovative regions in the world—and this strength stems not only from the state capital, but also from the collaboration between cities, counties, companies, universities, and research institutions throughout the region.
With the roadshow “Munich Metropolitan Region—Region of Innovation,” we highlight this synergy and demonstrate the opportunities that arise from close cooperation between urban and rural areas. The focus is on technology and knowledge transfer, new opportunities for cooperation between academia, industry, and local governments, and the question of how innovation can be strengthened in a decentralized and collaborative manner.
The next stop is on December 1 in Kaufbeuren and the Ostallgäu district—at pro-micron GmbH and the Institute for Data-Optimized Manufacturing at Kempten University of Applied Sciences. On site, participants experienced how innovation takes shape in Ostallgäu, how collaborations between businesses and academia succeed, and what role local governments can play.
Participants took the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts from the region and gained valuable insights for a networked future of innovation.
